The US National Congress of Theoretical and AppliedMechanics (USNCTAM) is hosted bythe U.S. National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics every fouryear, and till now 17 congresses have successfully concluded. BMF Materialwill attend the 18thcongress, USNCTAM 2018, which will takeplace on June 5-9, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois, the US. This year’s congress is organized byNorthwestern University, and for the first time co-hosted by the U.S.National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics.Co-chairs will be Professor Jianmin Qu from Tufts University, Professor WingKam Liu from Northwestern University, Academician Wei Yang (President ofChinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics) from Zhejiang University,and Academician Daining Fang (Vice President of Chinese Society of Theoreticaland Applied Mechanics) from Beijing Institute of Technology.
